MercyMe - Beautiful [Official Music Video] from mercymemusic on GodTube.
We have been blessed with a great group of young people here at Agnes Baptist Church.
We believe that it is essential that we teach our teenagers the fundamentals that will help them throughout their entire lives. We base the principles off of the Spritiual Armor found in Ephesians 6. We teach them that there is a truth out there and that it is not altered by what our society says. There are definate things that are right, and there are definate things that are wrong. We teach them the importance of righteousness: the ability to do what is right no matter how difficult that might be. We teach them the need for preparation. We know that storms will arise in our lives, and if we are prepared we can have peace no matter what hits. They learn the power of faith. If you have done your part to prepare, when struggles come you can trust that Christ will guide you through. We teach the gift of Salvation. The fact that Christ’s sacrifice was the ultimate gift of love, and how we can finally have a relationship with God like He created us for. We learn the need for guidance. That we will find it when we search the scriptures and follow the Holy Spirit’s lead. We learn to pray constantly. What good is it to have a relationship with someone if you never talk to them?

We believe that it is our great responsibility to not only teach our young people the Word of God, but to also give them the opportunity to serve the Lord. One way that we encourage their involvement in the ministry of the church is through our monthly 4:12 night. The idea for our 4:12 night comes from 1 Tim. 4:12, “Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” God is working in great ways in the lives of our young people and we believe that it is important that they are able to share with others what God is doing in their lives. On the last Sunday of each month, our youth department, which is called Fade Out, is in charge of the evening service (under the supervision of the Pastor and youth leaders). Our young people take care of virtually everything in the service; they take care of the music as well as the preaching. Not only are our young people given the opportunity to serve the Lord now, but we are training them to be the church leaders of tomorrow. The 4:12 night is always one of our best attended evening services. It seems that every month we stand amazed at what the Lord does through our youth as they share the Word of God with us.
